The IQ test or intelligence quotient is a fairly recent measurement of how good a person can figure out problems.
Alfred Binet, the inventor of the IQ test wanted to help children who were struggling in school. He created a testing system to evaluate a child's ability to solve problems and help place them in the right classes.
The IQ test has changed a lot since then. A man named David Wechsler adapted the IQ test for adults in 1939 to screen potential Army candidates. He also developed the normalized IQ score scale that is still in use today. Find out your IQ score. |
